The Jeep

We flew into San Diego for a business/ family vacation. Speed went to pick up our rental car, previously arranged to be a budget economy car. We were honestly thrilled to have been able to arrange for a mid- range hotel and a car, instead of the fancy conference hotel and no car.

Speed arrived and the rental attendant inquires about his trip and says oh wouldn’t you rather pick your wife up in a brand new Jeep Wrangler (my dream car). Speed was like sure but this is a business trip all the reservations have been arranged and paid for already, and a Jeep is not in the budget.
The attendant smiles and says I have 13 brand new Jeeps on the lot go pick one out and use it this week, it will be way more fun.

Wow oh Wow God only you could turn an economy rental into a Jeep Wrangler in San Diego.

That was not God’s only surprise for this trip either.
We were invited under the ropes on the ship used in Master and Commander. (Funny didn’t see the importance of the name until I was writing this just now)
And Speed ran off to participate in a paid focus group so he could surprise me with a beautiful silver cuff bracelet, one evening at dinner.

The trip was packed full of fun, laughter, and God’s sweet surprise.

Be My Girl

our Father is always listening, paying attention and being funny, and His timing is perfect.

I had a dream last night and small things kept lining up just so, but each could be explained away by others as “coincidence” but towards the end of the event my mom handed a Christmas card to someone, the card had been picked out months before, the picture on the front matched the pattern on the woman’s shawl. We laughed and smiled, and said “God is so funny.”

Undoubtedly God smiling down working out each detail with perfection. Displaying His unwavering thoughtfulness and care.

As I type this I am reminded that last night just seconds after a very special moment where my husband of 21 years got down on his knee and asked asked me to be his girlfriend (for the first time) under the lights of the town square gazebo, the bell tower housed in the county courthouse across the street, rung out its melodious tune, and then the 7 chimes rang out in perfect time, reminding me that His time is perfect, I just have to wait on it.

(Town squares, gazebos, Christmas lights and bell towers are some of my most favorite things)

With a smile I share this with you my friends. Hopefully reminding us to not get so frustrated but to smile and remember God is up there smiling down on each of us , often laughing and it is all in His perfect time.

Love and Prayers as we kick off this New Year,

2020=perfect vision
